PaceSetter
Pacesetter High Performance Paint Systems is critical to being able to recommend the specific coating system to ensure performance in any given environment
What is Pacesetter?
Pacesetter is a series of high performance coating systems that have been developed, tested and accredited across multiple substrates to ensure that they can achieve longevity in the environment they are applied in.
HP Systems
Far too often are people undercutting the coating specifications to get the job done cheaply without worrying about long term performance. By specifying the correct Pacesetter system we will ensure your coating system is utilising the correct grade of paints and primers as well as the right pre-treatment. This is the difference between short term and long term performance.
Pacesetter® HP100 System
This system is suitable for internal use (C1 environments). It has minimal coats and a lighter grade paint which helps reduce costs, and yet will still perform well in internal environments. With project requirements met, this system we will warranty up to 10 years.
Pacesetter® HP200 System
This is a multi-coat system suitable for residential projects in environments up to C3 classification. It utilises a high-grade polyurethane top coat as the final coat that we will warranty up to 10 years.
Pacesetter® HP300 System
The 300 system is the entry level for commercial projects. This system was developed mainly for coating repairs wherever an issue arises from damage (not a coating failure). We warranty this system for up to 10 years.
Pacesetter® HP400 System
This is a multi-coat system developed for external substrates that require extra protection and preparation and is suitable for use in up to C4 environments. We warranty this system for up to 10 years.
Pacesetter® HP500 System
This system was designed to perform in any environment (C1 to C5) utilising a top coat product FluoroKote® which meets AAMA 2605 Grade coating requirements. We warranty this system for up to 15 years.
Understanding the different environments
Australian Standard AS4312 defines atmospheric corrosiveness categories. These are the typical environments that must be identified when specifying your project to ensure the correct Pacesetter HP System is selected.
Corrosive Category – AS4312 | Exterior | Interior |
C1 | – | Heated buildings with clean atmosphere, for example, offices, stores, schools, hotels. |
C2 | Atmosphere with a lower level of pollution. Mostly rural zones. | Not heated buildings where condensation can occur, for example, warehouses or sport halls. |
C3 | Urban and industrial atmospheres, with general pollution. Coastal areas with high salinity. | Production rooms with a high humidity and some air pollution, for example, food industry, laundries, breweries, dairies. |
C4 | Industrial areas and coastal areas with high salinity. | Chemical plants, swimming pools, coastal ship/boatyards. |
C5-I | Indusrial areas with a high humidity and aggressive atmosphere. | Buildings or areas with almost permanent condensation and high pollution. |
C5-M | Coastal and offshore areas with high salinity | Buildings or areas with almost permanent condensation and high pollution. |
FluoroKote® Clear Coat Top Coat
FluroroKote was formulated to work as an addition to any of the above coating systems where additional protection and performance is required. It not only meets AAMA2605 Grade coating requirements but it also acts as an anti-graffiti coating system with excellent UV resistance.
